The topic of "green" recycling and the environmentally friendly recycling and disposal of a wide variety of materials was at the top of the agenda for the around 200 exhibitors at recycling aktiv in the second week of September in the Baden-Airpark in Karlsruhe this year. In the field of old tire and rubber disposal, the question of how old tires, conveyor belts and industrial hoses can be disposed of as ecologically and pollutant-free as possible is in focus. Whether reuse as a carcass, material recycling as rubber granulate for reuse in new products, thermal recycling as fossil fuel in cement works or completely new methods of recycling - the exhibitors showed interested visitors the various possibilities live and hands-on.
