The company has been in existence since 1955.
Karl Kurz founded the company.
Today, Hanna Raff manages the company.
She is the granddaughter of Karl Kurz.

We work with old tyres.
We work with rubber waste.
We turn them into new products.

Our company is located in Wendlingen am Neckar.
A second location is in Landau in der Pfalz.
Over 50 people work for us.
We have modern machines.
We work in an environmentally friendly way.
We are a certified specialist company.

Our history

1955

Karl Kurz founds the company.
The company is located in Stuttgart.
The company buys and sells old tyres.

1960s

The company grows.
It builds a plant in Leinfelden-Echterdingen.

1989

The company moves to Wendlingen.
Recycling is now very important for the company.

1996

Another plant closes in Landau.
KURZ is building a new machine there.
The machine cuts old tyres into small pieces.

2003

The company modernises the plant in Landau.
The company is awarded an environmental label.
That shows: The company works safely and cleanly.

2007

Karl Kurz buys back an old company.
His granddaughter Hanna Schöberl joins him.

2008

The company shows its work at a trade fair in Essen.

2010

The company buys new vehicles.
New containers are also being added.

2015

The company is 60 years old.
There is a celebration.

2016

A new plant is built.
It turns rubber into fine flour.
The system produces 2 tonnes per hour.

2017

Hanna Schöberl becomes boss.
She is the granddaughter of Karl Kurz.

2018

The offices in Wendlingen are moving.
The company is at a tyre trade fair in Cologne.

2020

The company is 65 years old.
She is taking part in an environmental project: AZuR.

2021

Karl Kurz dies on 24 December.
He was 89 years old.

2022

KURZ is nominated for the Recircle Awards.
This is a prize for sustainability.
The company attends several trade fairs in Germany.
A new lorry is purchased in November.

2023

Andreas Döring this.
He worked at the Landau plant for a long time.
He was very important for the company.

2024

Patrick Siarsky becomes head of the Landau plant.
Hanna Schöberl gets married.
Her name is now Hanna Raff.
KURZ is at the Environment Week in Berlin.

2025

SHORT is 70 years old.
The company has developed further.
At first it was a small family business.
The company is now a specialised waste disposal company.
KURZ works with companies in many countries.

We collect old tyres.
We dispose of the tyres professionally.
This means that we separate the substances.
We recycle what is possible.
We comply with all environmental regulations.

We have our own containers.
We offer flexible pick-up times.

Sell tyres

We trade in tyres.
This means that we buy and sell tyres.

We have:
- New tyres
- Used tyres
- retreaded tyres

We sort all tyres carefully.
We check the quality.
Only good tyres go on sale.

Customers can also sell tyres to us.
We collect large quantities.
We offer fast payment.

Rubber products

We make new products from rubber.
The material comes from old tyres.

We manufacture:
- Rubber granules
- Rubber powder
- Gum powder

These products are used for:
- Sports fields
- Road surfaces
- Sound insulation
- Building protection mats
- Conveyor belts

Our gum powder is very fine.
The machine grinds rubber down to less than 0.4 mm.
This is particularly true in Europe.
